CDPHP is so much more than a health insurance company. We’re on the ground in the community where you live, and we’re working to improve the lives and health of those in your neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces. Through our Charity of Choice program, employees can volunteer their time, talents, and resources to support one worthwhile charity each year. In addition, we sponsor the Workforce Team Challenge, health and fitness expos, health forums, and other community events that promote a healthy lifestyle.
You can check out our upcoming community events anytime. You’ll find additional, detailed information about future events and sponsorships, as well as recaps after the fact so that you can see who was there and what was accomplished. We’re everywhere you are, in the Capital District and beyond. Won’t you join us?
The first U.S. national park, Yellowstone National Park, was established by Congress in 1872 and is known worldwide for its colorful hot springs and the Old Faithful geyser, which shoots water 100 feet into the air. While Yellowstone is the most famous national park, there are so many more amazing parks to explore and experience!

Becoming eligible for Medicare often marks the beginning of a new season in life. Perhaps you’re getting ready to retire. Maybe you’re newly retired and filling your calendar with volunteerism, babysitting grandchildren, or midday tee times. Perhaps you’re strategizing how to spend your last few years on the job.
I had this notion for a long time that using a bike to get around Albany was not the best idea. I live within walking distance from a lot of areas in the city and enjoy bringing my dog to as many places as I can. After spending some time using CDPHP® Cycle!SM, I realize how silly that notion was.
I planned to use the bike-share program for a weekend, jumping around to events, restaurants, museums, and to explore. Spoiler alert – we are now avid users of shared bikes and instead of just a weekend, we constantly use them to get around town.
At 68 years old, Corinne Kennedy recently made the decision to move back to her hometown of Troy, NY. Once settled into her new place, the retired health care worker knew she had to make a decision about her health insurance.
“I started asking around. Everyone I spoke to said, ‘CDPHP is the absolute best.’”
Living on a fixed income, Corinne needed a plan that was both affordable and high-quality. She was pleasantly surprised when she started shopping around on the CDPHP website.
As a CDPHP employee, I consider myself very lucky to have a farmers’ and artisans’ market right in my parking lot every Thursday from June through October. I can buy fresh produce, check out amazing handmade items, and even pick up a tasty lunch.
Do you think I remember to do any of these things on a weekly basis?
Nope. That’s why I’m challenging myself – and you! – to get to the market. Oh, did I forget to mention that it’s open to the public?
