Nothing beats the summer heat like a day spent kayaking on one of the many lakes, creeks, and rivers that surround and span the Capital Region. It’s an activity that can easily be enjoyed solo or with a group and you need not travel far.

Fitness Benefits
As one can imagine, kayaking provides a fantastic upper-body and aerobic workout, leading to increased endurance, improved heart health, and lower blood pressure, among other benefits. Moreover, kayaking can do your brain a world of good, as it triggers the release of chemicals that can quickly improve your mood and help you relax. As with any new activity or exercise routine, please check with your doctor first before strapping your vessel to your car and heading to the nearest water source.
