You’re Invited: Healthy Living Center Celebrates One-Year Anniversary
Join the Capital District YMCA, CDPHP®, and Hannaford Supermarket as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Healthy Living Center on Saturday, October 25 from 10:30 am to 1:30 p.m. inside Hannaford, located at 900 Central Ave. in Albany.
The celebration will include an afternoon of fun and free activities, including:
- Chair massages
- Photo booth
- Samples and giveaways
- Tours and wellness demos
- Pumpkin decorating
- Goodie bags for the kids
One year ago, the Capital District YMCA, CDPHP, and Hannaford opened the Healthy Living Center with the goal of improving the health and wellness of the communities we serve. To date, more than 1,600 people have joined the Center and participated in hundreds of free classes, programs, and workshops.
The 5,277-square-foot Healthy Living Center offers a variety of programs that support community wellness, including group exercise classes, weight management classes, nutrition seminars, personal training, and senior fitness.
The Center also provides free, on-site assistance with health insurance needs. Visitors can meet face-to-face with a CDPHP representative to order new ID cards, ask questions about their benefits, find a doctor, schedule an appointment, and purchase health care coverage.

Ali Skinner is a communications professional with nearly 20 years of media, marketing, advertising, and public relations experience. She joined CDPHP in November 2011 and currently serves as Vice President, Communications and External Affairs for one of the top health plans in New York and the nation. In this role, Ali oversees all internal and external communications, public relations, and government relations for the plan’s 400,000 members and 1,200 employees. A self-described recovering journalist, Ali spent 10 years writing and delivering news for a number of television and radio stations in the Syracuse and Albany, NY markets. Today, she uses her journalism background to help patients and the public make sense of complex health care topics.
