Mental Health Support from Four Winds Saratoga

During the coronavirus outbreak, your patients who need behavioral health services may be reluctant to go to a general hospital or clinic for treatment.  Four Winds Saratoga would like you to know that their programs  ̶  both inpatient and outpatient   ̶   are available to support them.

Telemedicine Options

The Four Winds Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial Hospital Program (PHP), and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (AIOP) are fully operational via telemedicine. This is an intermediate level of care for members who need more than outpatient treatment but less intense care than hospitalization would warrant.

Inpatient Treatment

Beds are available at Four Winds Saratoga for patients who meet the criteria for hospitalization. The Admissions Office and Clinical Evaluation Services (CES) department accept referrals by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For admission and referral information, please call 1-800-959-1287 or (518) 584-3600.

Referrals

The facility regularly receives referrals from a wide range of sources, including family members, emergency room personnel, clinicians/physicians, schools, employers, clergy, managed care organizations, and employee assistance programs, as well as patients themselves. The Referral Information Sheet lists the types of information needed for the referral. If you are not sure which of the Four Winds programs will best fit your patients’ needs, CES will assess which of our services would be most appropriate.

If you wish to make a direct referral for adult outpatient services (IOP or PHP) and know which program is appropriate for your patient, you can call (518) 584-3600, ext. 7602, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Insurance Coverage

Most insurance plans pay for services provided by Four Winds, including Medicare. New York State Medicaid covers Partial Hospital Services for all adults, and Inpatient Services for those younger than 21 years of age and older than 65. Managed Medicaid covers services for all ages. NOTE: During the COVID-19 pandemic, CDPHP will cover Intensive Outpatient Programs for its Medicaid members.
